Looks like I'll take the bus then

So I'm heading in to work, as you do. Doing about 50 km on the motorway and I notice the guy in front has stopped. Jam on the brakes, but it's wet and all the rest, so I slam into the back of him.

Right now, I feel like a real loser. having been on the other end of the nose-to-tail deal several times, this is the first time it's actually my fault.

The odd thing is though, the car in front didn't stop. Not that there was much damage (if any) to his/her rear bumber, but it was quite a bang.
I don't really understand - if someone ploughed into the back of me, I would at least take the 5 mins to pull over, check for damage and swap numbers just in case. If you are too fukin lazy to pull over and check if your car is damaged, then you really do deserve to pay for any repairs yourself.
